Stepping away from the horror movie genre, I am going to tell you about the 2009 Oscars. The Oscars in 2009 finaly got some less-than-usual mainstream genered movies. Below are the supposed movies that have a great chance at winning an Oscar.

Documentary: Michael Moore’s Capitalism: A Love Story earned grudging respect

Animation: Pixars tenth film Up created laughs from the talking dogs and tears from the touchy moments.

Tech-loaded Blockbuster: James Cameron’s Avatar created lots of exitment with it’s mind blowing 3-D effects.

Foreign-language: Michael Haneke’s The White Ribbon created lots of comotion with the abused children’s choir

Action-thriller: Quentin Taratino’s Inglourious Bstrds produced breakout star: Christoph Waltz

Adult-comedy: The Hangover might be to explicit to be taken seriously, instead Nancy Meyer’s Post-divorce-capade, It’s Complicated may win.

The Oscars have been one of my favourite award shows to watch, because my familiy watches it all the time. It has kind of been a tradition. The Oscars for 2009 were very suprising, considering Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire won most of the awards, and very few of these movies even got into the running. Personally I would of liked to see Quentin Taratino’s Inglourious Bstrds, or  The Hangover to win an award. Maybe this year Hangover will succeed with their new movie Hangover 2, which was hilarious.
